Full Job Description :-
The Valuation Analyst role in the Advisor Legacy department is responsible for working directly with the Advisor Legacy team in an effort to support the work of the department. Analytical processing and thinking are important in this role as the Valuation Analyst is responsible for data collection, use of our proprietary valuation tool, and participating in the delivery and presentation of the valuation to our clients. The Valuation Analyst will spend his or her day interacting with internal members of the department as well as financial advisors to assist in the valuation process.
*This role can be performed remotely or in our Troy, Michigan office.*
Collect valuation data (40% of time)

Verify that data is complete and correct
Follow up with client for any gaps in data
Analyze expense statement (Tax return or P&L statement)
Compare expenses to valuation data provided
Recast expenses to arrive at “operating expenses” only
Follow up with client for any gaps in expense data
Review practice reports provided
Compare reports to data entered in questionnaire
Follow up with client for any gaps in reports

Enter data in valuation tool (25% of time)

Enter data in tool
Enter analyst driven metrics
Review results (save valuation and set aside for one day)
Review results a second time and make any final adjustments
Deliver valuation to client

Review valuation deliverable with client (35% of time)

Review deliverable with client and answer questions
Provide coaching on areas of practice related to valuation
Make recommendations on follow up services and next steps
Provide valuation deliverable to Relationship Manager with recommended follow up
Complete any follow up steps with the client

Required skills & experience:

Highly analytical with extreme attention to detail
Able to manage a high volume of work and maintain consistent quality
Pride in quality of work
Knowledge of financial planning/wealth management practices
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to communicate with clients at the C-level
Strong coaching and consulting skills and experience
