Ideally this candidate will be located in South Florida however remote with heavy travel into South Florida will be considered. Relocation is provided if needed. ???????
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Information Technology will be a key member of our client’s Executive Team. He/she will be accountable for providing the overall leadership, vision and strategy of the technology and IT organization with the objective to foster an agile organization, drive and manage change, and to support the corporation’s ability to effectively achieve its operational and financial objectives.
Our client’s technology strategy is focused on the modernization, security, maintenance, support and the operation of various systems, including those supporting Stores/customers, Finance, HR, Supply Chain and Merchandising and any other technology required to support the company objectives. The VP will also be responsible for oversight of the e-commerce web platform to support and achieve results.The VP’s team will be responsible for the management of the technology services in an efficient, effective, resilient and secure manner commensurate with the size, scale, and risk profile of the business. With a focus on the business drivers, rigorous planning, execution and forward thinking are required to continue the modernization of the processes and technologies utilized by the business. The Vice President, IT will be mandated to review key systems to determine the appropriate architecture for future growth and new business opportunities. With rapidly changing technologies there is an increasing need for more effective and integrated business systems for both the organization and the consumer.
The VP will develop and maintain a multi-year strategic plan that is aligned with the organizations strategy to ensure that the information technology systems and infrastructure continue to evolve and progress to meet future needs and remain viable over the long-term. This will ensure that technology investments and assets are used to their fullest potential in applying technology and leveraging the expertise and experience of staff, to meet corporate objectives in a cost[1]effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Expertise * Direct the definition, development and implementation of systems that support the business. * Deliver solutions that enable data driven analytics and decision making and improve competitive advantage through access to/use of customer, market and business intelligence. * Implement the short- and long-term IT vision and strategic plans in alignment with, and support for, the Corporation’s strategies and goals, business plans, opportunities, products, and operating requirements and efficiencies. * As part of the long-term strategy, identify & implement IT new financial, distribution and logistics and merchandising systems. * Provide expert guidance on key projects, e.g., E-commerce, etc.

Create and manage the IT budget, expense, non-recurring and capital expenditures and business plans to ensure strategic priorities are achieved in a cost-effective manner. Build the business case to support the funding of technology driven initiatives to modernize the infrastructure and technology management of the organization. * Provide a comprehensive review of the company’s systems, processes, policies and overall technology portfolio with the view to determine the best approach to ensure efficient and cost-effective methodologies and solutions are in place. Efficiency * Deliver productivity gains through applications that automate processes, support internal business operations and facilitate administrative functions. * Identify emerging technologies that may align with the company strategy, test and try to determine viability and value.

Provide oversight of the development and management of both organizations’ technology infrastructure and applications in a manner that is responsive to the Corporation’s business objectives and remains viable over the long-term. * Identify and advocate advances and innovations in IT services and determine how they can enhance the performance of business lines, improve service to direct customers. * Identify and select strategic outsourcing partners, if applicable, in order to effectively support strategic priorities in a cost effective and efficient manner. * Provide the leadership and stewardship to generate and sustain the necessary momentum, decide when to stay the course or make necessary adjustments, and successfully implement large-scale corporate initiatives within approved budgets and timeframes. Recruit, develop, mentor and retain a highly qualified IT team to support the organization’s technology priorities. * Actively partner with Executive leadership team peers to align technology investments with business initiatives and educate and inform how technology can influence and improve capabilities, decision making and productivity. * Lead strategic effort to design, build and implement systems and tools that enable exceptional customer service, customer experience and loyalty. Security * Support and maintain a cyber security strategy to protect and secure customer and employee information.
Provide security program that include compliance with all regulatory requirements including PCI. * Ensure the continuous and secure operation and maintenance of the network infrastructure. This includes the maintenance and refinement of security, privacy, disaster recovery and business continuity plans. This also includes effective use of cloud and outsourced services to reduce cost and provide greater flexibility. * Develop and ensure best practices and standards are in place to mitigate risk and comply with compliance and regulatory standards.
